The whole world is full of regions that have not been explored or have been poorly explored….. wonderful discoveries of new species, some with the potential to cure the most heinous of illnesses, like the berry in the north-north-east of Australia, which looks like it can completely obliterate cancer, are being discovered/have been discovered…..

Who knows what else is out there….

Still the regions keep on getting smaller and smaller because they are not protected.

There are species going extinct before we even discover them, the cure for everything is out there somewhere and one of these days we’re gonna burn a rainforest killing the last of a certain kind of frog with the cure for cancer in the poison in its skin, if we haven’t already.

Water occupies 70 percent of the earth surface and 99 percent of its deep sea remain unknown to mankind till today. The solution to incurable diseases could be lying somewhere in the marine diversity of our ocean. The discovery is another major breakthrough and a clear that we still have a long way go

9 amphibians, 11 fish, 14 reptiles, 126 plants and 3 mammals make up the 2015 discoveries in the Greater Mekong Region

This Phuket Horned Tree Agamid (Acanthosaura phuketensis) looks kind of like a mini-dragon

Between 1997 and 2015 there have been 2,409 new species described in the Greater Mekong, the equivalent of two new discoveries a week. I thought species were going extinct.
